About Us

Dogs, a Baby & Me is a blog written by a woefully unready, and at times too ambitious father to be. We are expecting our first baby in a few months and despite our best efforts, I sincerely doubt that anything could prepare us for what is about to happen.

Joining me on this great adventure are two dogs, Pixel the rescue Lurcher, and Dora the rescue Swedish Vallhund. They will be on hand to clear up any dropped foods, and generally steal the baby's toys.

Kit

I am a writer, layabout and general nerd in my late 20's. My passions include starting (but not finishing books), craft beer, games (of the video, board, and tabletop variety), and wrestling. In fact if it something that I can be a hipster about then I probably enjoy it in some form.

Rae-Rae

Our little girl that is soon to be joining us (7th of October if she keeps to the schedule). Her hobbies include kicking Mummy in the ribs when she's trying to sleep, and refusing to move when I am trying to feel her. She, like me, is also a fan of wrestling even if she doesn't know it yet.

Ruthie

My long suffering wife who has to put up with me. She tries her best to keep me grounded, and to stop me from killing myself or becoming recluse. She watches wrestling, but only because I make her.

Pixel & Dora

These two are my guinea pigs, I've been practising my parenting on them for sometime. We rescued Pixel (the Lurcher) from Battersea Rescue in 2014, and we rescued Dora (the Swedish Vallhund) from Roumania in 2016. They like to cuddle me while I watch wrestling.
